(CCDRE) Facebook page: Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Inc. Today, at our warehouse, about 300 volunteers showed up at 10am, to pack another 1,500 family food boxes, so we can include them with other supplies, and send another 5 semi trailers to SE Texas. 2 truckloads of supplies left our Nashville Warehouse today. The first left a little after noon for the Highland Heights Church of Christ in Houston, and the second trailer left about 3pm for Westgate Church of Christ in Beaumont, TX. Most of these 53' trailer loads full of new, pre-packed basic needs for all, are being completely handed out in 4-6 hours, and they're wanting more. With 14 shipments made, we have requests for another 20, and many areas are still under water. We appreciate your prayers and financial support as we continue to help those in Texas, and pray that Irma will head back out to sea, but: "Thy Will Be Done" |
