Just read this quote from C. S. Lewis (1898-1963); thought I would share. Definitely something to ponder.
"Here is another thing that used to puzzle me. Is it not frightfully unfair that this new life should be confined to people who have heard of Christ and been able to believe in Him? But the truth is God has not told us what His arrangements about the other people are. We do know that no man can be saved except through Christ; we do not know that only those who know Him can be saved through Him. But in the meantime, if you are worried about the people outside, the most unreasonable thing you can do is to remain outside yourself. Christians are Christ’s body, the organism through which He works. Every addition to that body enables Him to do more. If you want to help those outside you must add your own little cell to the body of Christ who alone can help them. Cutting off a man’s fingers would be an odd way of getting him to do more work." From: Mere Christianity. Copyright © 1952, C. S. Lewis Pte. Ltd 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 27-31a " Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Now eagerly desire the greater gifts." Have a lovely weekend! King's Orchard Annual

Hi Everyone Sadly as I write this letter here is the latest headlines --- South Carolina Flooding: 5 Dead, Curfews Ordered, Hundreds Rescued, Several Interstates Closed. -- Officials are worried life-threatening impacts will only worsen as the 1-in-1,000-year rain event continues. Authorities said hundreds of people were in need of... rescue Sunday as the floodwaters kept rising all over the Palmetto State. Columbia, the state capital, was the hardest hit. At least 5 people have been killed by the flash floods in South Carolina, and officials worry that number will rise. Swift-water rescue teams have been dispatched all over the state to help pluck stranded residents out of flooding. Authorities have asked citizens to only call 911 if there's a life-threatening emergency. We drove to Southeast Knoxville TN on Saturday and are waiting at RV park until we can head into South Carolina. As soon as the roads allow us we will be heading to Columbia SC. We will be working with Palmetto and Long Creek Churches of Christ. Command center and volunteer housing will be at Palmetto. Also by the end of this week Jim with Gateway Disaster Response Team will be here working with us. So this means not only will we be supplying meals, setting up outreach program , helping with supplies, Jims team will be coordinating - Debris/Demo/Yard clean up, mucking out houses, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Masonry and Painting. With all of the above help we will be offering your contributions are vital to make this mission a success.
