This is something I read about a week ago and thought was informative and helpful. . .
The main principle of reading Scripture for a lifetime of spiritual growth is: Just read it. Don’t spend too much time looking for the “just right” study Bible, or other helps. Don’t neglect reading Scripture because you are in a period when you are having a hard time understanding it. And don’t slow down because you have not found a plan that is right for you. Put your hook in the water. Something will happen. Here are some guidelines for a lifestyle of fruitful Bible reading.
OVER 35 YEARS! That's how long ACP Youth Rally has been affecting the youth of the Inland Northwest. That first Apple Cider Press youth rally was just the small youth group from Cashmere church of Christ and just a one day event with a scavenger hunt, cider pressing and singing hymns of praise around the campfire at the end of the day. Those "kids" have all grown-up and now have children (even - gasp! - grandchildren!!) attending ACP. Pray for who are attending and helping out up at this year's ACP Youth Rally -- pray for God's light to shine on them and that they will take the lessons and friendships formed with them back to their worlds and be the "shining light" of Jesus to each other and others around them.
